What a box like this has to do
An earphone box sits on a shelf next to many similar products, so the front has to make the product and the model name easy to read from a distance. Once a buyer picks it up, the box should open cleanly and present the earphones neatly, and the parts inside should hold the product in place on the way from the warehouse to the store. These are general needs of the category, not requirements the brand gave us.
How the box is built
The FreeLace box is a tall, slim upright pack. The front panel carries a large line illustration of the neckband earphones on a white ground, with the HUAWEI name and the FreeLace product line printed across the top. The opened view shows the printed outer part lifting away from a white inner tray. A white insert with a slot sits inside the tray, so the FreeLace earphones have their own space and do not move loose in the box.
Print and finishing
The images show a clean white surface, fine dark type, a teal product illustration and a small dark accent bar beside the brand name. A mostly white box leaves nowhere to hide uneven ink or marks, so register and a clean surface matter. Our line in Dongguan includes Heidelberg offset presses, gloss or matte film lamination, spot UV, hot-foil stamping, automatic die-cutting, high-speed folder-gluing, mounting, lid-and-base box forming, variable-data coding and automatic inspection. We do not state here which machine ran this particular job.
How we work on similar boxes
For boxes like these we follow the same seven factory steps: design and sampling, plate-making and printing, surface finishing, die-cutting and gluing, gift-box assembly, coding and inspection, and delivery. This describes how our factory works in general. It is not a record of this project.
