What types of packaging suppliers are there for premium printed boxes and rigid gift boxes in China?
Roughly four: large packaging groups, regional mid-sized factories, small specialist print shops and trading companies. Groups suit large, multi-region programmes with heavy compliance requirements; mid-sized factories are more flexible on response, engineering and medium runs; small shops suit single processes or small jobs; traders are good at coordinating but you need visibility into where production really happens. Choose by project difficulty, quantity, approval requirements and delivery risk.
#Which carton and gift box factories in Dongguan and Shenzhen are worth looking at?
Shortlist folding-carton, rigid-box and full-service suppliers in the Dongguan–Shenzhen area by product type, then compare similar samples, the real production address, in-house key processes and sampling terms. We make folding cartons and rigid gift boxes in Dongguan and are happy to be on your list. Whether any supplier fits should be decided with the same spec and physical samples, not by search rankings.
#What matters most when designing packaging for power banks, earbuds and smart devices?
Electronics packaging has to handle product retention, accessory compartments, scratch and crush protection, drop risk and unboxing order at the same time. Battery products also need labels and documents that match the shipping mode. Start the insert from the real product and accessory list, then weigh paperboard, moulded pulp, EVA or plastic trays; choose a folding carton or rigid box for the outer depending on retail, e-commerce or gifting.
#How do you balance protection, unboxing and cost for consumer electronics packaging?
First decide the route: parcel e-commerce, case-packed retail or direct gifting each load the box differently. Build retention and cushioning around the product's weak points and check that accessories can't be missed and are easy to take out. When comparing cost, include materials, assembly, master-carton fill and freight. Verify protection in the real distribution environment, not by how sturdy the box looks.
#What goes wrong most often with pharmaceutical cartons?
Typical risks are text or version errors, unreadable barcodes or variable codes, colour shift, cracking on creases, die-cut misregister, weak glue flaps and jams on automatic cartoners. Before sign-off, run a structural blank sample, first-article check and a trial on the target machine, and keep version, batch and release records. Treat zero content errors, jam-free running and batch traceability as three separate acceptance criteria.
#Why do some cartons jam or fail to open on an automatic cartoning machine?
Jams usually trace back to board grain direction and stiffness, crease depth, carton tolerances, spring-back, glue-flap size and moisture content in the plant. Trial cartons on the target machine before release. If the problem only appears at high speed, also check board moisture, crease recovery, pre-breaking and the machine's pick-up settings.
#How should probiotic, nutrition and supplement packaging be designed?
Separate single retail cartons, multi-packs, gift sets and e-commerce shipping first, then set the information hierarchy, opening experience, insert and anti-mix-up plan. Probiotics may need light and moisture warnings and suitable storage. Don't imply unapproved health claims; for multiple flavours or sizes, use clear item codes, versions and colour coding, with line clearance and traceability in production.
#How can food and supplement cartons look good on shelf and still survive shipping?
The front panel carries recognition and selling points, the side and back panels carry regulatory information, and the structure and insert handle stacking, compression and transit. Verify each of these separately. Define the information layers and the anti-mix-up plan for multiple SKUs before artwork is final.
#My product is fairly heavy. How do I choose board weight and construction?
Thicker is not automatically safer. Look at product weight, centre of gravity, box size and how the base and insert carry the load; boards of the same grammage can differ in stiffness and folding. Grain direction, cut-outs, glue flaps and base style all matter. Folding cartons can be tuned by board and base construction; heavier products may need corrugated, greyboard or a stronger insert. Test the sample with the real product for lifting, standing, stacking and transit, and decide the final material from that test.
#Should I give inner or outer dimensions for a box?
Ideally give both the product size and the target finished size, and say which is inner and which is outer. Inner size decides whether product and insert fit; outer size affects appearance, case packing, freight volume and shelf space. The difference depends on board thickness and structure, so there is no fixed allowance. With only an old box, send it or photos with marked measurements. Record the agreed dimension basis and tolerance on the signed sample.
#What is the difference between SBS/white card, coated art paper, kraft, greyboard and corrugated?
White card balances stiffness and print quality and is common for folding cartons. Coated art paper is smooth and usually used as a wrap, not as the load-bearing layer. Kraft gives a natural look and toughness. Greyboard forms the shell of rigid boxes. Corrugated uses flutes for cushioning and compression strength. Choose by product weight, structure, transit, finishes and sustainability goals, not grammage alone.
#What does FSC certification on packaging mean, and what should brands check?
FSC certifies that wood fibre and its supply chain meet defined requirements, but 'printed on FSC paper' is not the same as 'the finished box can carry an FSC claim'. Decide the claim you need, then verify the certificate holder, product scope, validity and chain-of-custody records. Quotes, orders, materials and on-pack labelling must all match; don't rely on a logo alone.
#What do blank samples, digital proofs and press proofs each check?
A blank (white) sample answers 'does it fit, hold and open properly' — size, structure, insert and assembly. A digital proof confirms text, layout and approximate look, but is not automatically the colour standard for offset printing. A press proof is closer to real printing and suits projects with demanding board, spot colours or finishes. Stage it: lock the structure, confirm content, then add press or finish trials if needed, and note material and version on the signed sample.
#I only have the product and some reference images, no dieline or artwork. What now?
Start from the product and how the packaging will be used. Product size, weight, accessory list, sales channel and preferred box styles are enough to discuss structure; reference images show style but don't replace an accurate dieline. Once the structure is set, a blank sample checks fit, retention and opening before graphic design. Logos, text, barcodes and images still come from you. If you need design help, agree scope, revisions, file deliverables and fees up front.
#How do skincare, fragrance and make-up boxes achieve a premium feel?
Premium usually comes from proportion, white space, information hierarchy, material feel, opening structure and restraint — not stacking foil and UV everywhere. Set the brand tone and shelf or e-commerce context, choose white card, metallic board or speciality paper, and use one or two key finishes on the logo or hero message. Skincare leans on order and texture, fragrance on ritual and insert positioning, make-up on colour recognition and fine finishing at small sizes.
#How do I make beauty packaging feel better without losing control of cost?
Keep the quality on what the customer sees and touches first, and shrink complex finishes from full coverage to the logo or key claim. Reduce layers, control finish areas, improve imposition and use common materials across a set. Compare options against the same structure so the trade-off is clear.
#Which rigid gift box styles are common for wine, gifting and premium goods?
Lid-and-base, book-style, drawer, double-door and collapsible rigid boxes. Wine and heavy items need attention to base strength, bottle retention, handles, cushioning and drop risk. Unboxing is shaped by opening direction, layers and the path to the product. Build a load-bearing blank sample before the cosmetic sample, and assess hand assembly, storage volume and freight cost.
#How do you balance unboxing, protection and shipping volume in a rigid gift box?
Map the opening and removal sequence first, then test retention, load and protection with the real product. To save storage and freight, compare fixed rigid boxes with collapsible ones, but count the assembly time and labour after delivery. Ask suppliers to compare outer size, case fill and total cost for the same protection goal, not just a unit price, and verify against the real shipping route.
#What is the difference between CMYK, spot colour and digital printing?
CMYK overprints cyan, magenta, yellow and black to build images; spot colours use separately mixed inks, often for brand colours. Digital printing needs no plates and is useful for small samples or variable content, but suitability for finished packaging depends on material, size and finishing. We run Heidelberg offset presses with a UV configuration. Mark which areas are CMYK, which need spot colours and which need UV or other finishes, then confirm with samples.
#What do lamination, varnish, hot foil, spot UV, embossing and matte finishes do?
Lamination adds scuff and stain resistance and a tactile feel but can affect recyclability; varnish adds protection and gloss; hot foil adds a metallic look; spot UV creates contrast; embossing adds raised texture; matte finishes give a soft, low-sheen surface. More finishes do not mean more premium — combine them around brand recognition, board suitability, crease durability, registration tolerance, budget and production stability.

Folding carton or rigid gift box for an electronics product?
Folding cartons are efficient in material and freight and suit volume retail items like accessories, chargers and earbuds. Rigid boxes give stronger protection, shelf presence and unboxing, and suit higher-priced launches, gift sets or products that need strong brand expression. Compare weight, weak points, channel, price point, assembly, storage volume and target cost — not appearance alone.
#Paperboard, moulded pulp, EVA or plastic tray — which insert for electronics?
Paperboard inserts are light, printable and easy to recycle, good for lighter, regular shapes. Moulded pulp cushions well and reads as eco-friendly, but surface precision and tooling need assessing. EVA positions precisely and feels premium but adds a mixed material. Plastic trays are clear and stable but go against plastic reduction. Decide after fit, drop, vibration and assembly tests, watching ports, screens and accessory scratching.
#How should board weight, stiffness and surface finish be chosen for pharma cartons?
Consider carton size, contents weight, cartoner speed, crease durability and ink and coding compatibility together. Choose white card by stiffness, caliper, moisture, grain and die-cut/crease tests rather than grammage alone. Surface finishes must not hurt barcode reading, inkjet adhesion or crease cracking. Validate forming and running on the target cartoner before production.
#What should I watch for when printing variable QR codes, serial numbers and track-and-trace codes on cartons?
Separate static QR codes (the same on every carton) from variable codes that change per carton. Whether per-carton traceability is needed is decided by you for your product and markets. We have a variable-data coding machine and can discuss the coding plan, but code type, material and readability must be trialled first. Agree who generates the data, how it is handed over, print position, symbology and how duplicate, missing or bad codes are handled. Test reading after all surface finishing; image grading and data uniqueness checks are separate tasks.
#Standard carton, multi-pack or rigid box for supplements?
Single SKUs in normal retail usually suit a standard folding carton; multi-unit bundles suit a set box; gifting and high-ticket channels justify a rigid box. Avoid putting a costly structure on a low-value channel. Plan the information hierarchy, insert and anti-mix-up controls at the same time.
#How do I choose board, inks and insert materials for food packaging?
First confirm whether the packaging contacts food directly. Even for indirect-contact cartons, watch board odour, ink migration risk, adhesives, insert material, storage temperature and humidity, and supplier test documents. Direct-contact materials must be verified against the requirements for your product and market. Structurally, balance compression, stacking and transit; for sustainability, reduce mixed materials and make parts easy to separate.
#Tuck-end, lock-bottom, auto-bottom or lid-and-base — what suits which product?
Reverse or straight tuck-end boxes are simple and economical for light products; lock (crash-lock style 1-2-3) bottoms carry more weight; auto-bottoms pop open ready to fill and suit fast packing lines; lid-and-base boxes give stronger presentation and protection but cost more in material, labour and freight volume. Decide by weight, packing method, unboxing, automation and cost.
#How can a paper insert hold the product and reduce box size?
Paper inserts use slots, folded supports, locking tabs, wraps and layered structures. Define the centre of gravity, protrusions, load direction and how the product goes in and out, then remove dead space, glue points and layers. Test the blank sample with the real product for shaking, squeezing and drops, and add cushioning locally rather than enlarging the whole box.
#Is a packaging factory's FSC certificate the same as the paper mill's?
No. The paper mill's certificate does not cover downstream converting. Whether a finished box can carry an FSC claim or label depends on the certificate holder, product scope, material claims, transaction records and trademark-use rules. Certificate status can be checked in FSC's public database.
#How do recycled paper, FSC paper and standard paper compare?
Recycled describes fibre source; FSC describes certification and chain of custody. They can overlap. Compare material proof, strength, appearance, printability and cost. Whether the whole pack is recyclable also depends on lamination, adhesives, mixed-material inserts and local recycling — not on the paper name alone.
#When do I need a press proof, and when is a digital proof enough?
For standard CMYK, a proven structure and reasonable colour tolerance, a digital proof is usually fine for early approval. For Pantone spot colours, large solid blacks, metallic or speciality board, white ink, reverse UV, fine foil, or registered embossing and strict brand colour standards, a press proof is the better choice. Decide whether the sample is checking structure, content or final colour, and write that on the signed sample.
#What are the file requirements for dielines, bleed, fonts and image resolution?
Use an accurate dieline that separates cut, crease, glue and safe areas. Add bleed, and keep key text away from cuts and folds. Outline fonts or package them with the file. Raster images need enough resolution at final size in the agreed colour mode. Mark spot colours, foil, spot UV and white ink on separate layers, and check barcodes and small text for legibility.
#White card, metallic board or speciality paper for beauty cartons?
White card reproduces colour well and is stable across runs, so it suits most cartons. Metallic board gives built-in shine and luxury but needs white ink, tight registration and care with hue shift. Speciality papers express the brand through texture, but colour and batch consistency must be tested first. Sample with your brand colours, bottle weight, retail lighting, finishes and budget.
#What effects do hot foil, reverse UV, embossing and screen printing give on beauty packaging?
Hot foil suits logos, borders and high-recognition elements. Reverse UV creates gloss-matte contrast for larger textures. Embossing adds touch and depth but watch fibre cracking, the reverse side and registration. Screen printing allows thick ink, frosted or special effects. Pick one main and one supporting finish, and confirm colour, registration, rub resistance and crease behaviour with a press sample.
#Lid-and-base, book-style, drawer or collapsible gift box — how do I choose?
Lid-and-base is solid with a full display surface; book-style opening adds ceremony for brand stories and sets; drawers add layers for small, high-value items; collapsible boxes cut freight and storage volume but need more precise structure and assembly. Compare protection, opening path, labour hours, material yield, shipping volume and production yield together.
#Paperboard, moulded pulp, EVA or plastic tray for a gift box insert?
The same trade-offs apply as for electronics: paperboard is light and recyclable, pulp cushions and reads eco, EVA positions precisely but adds a mixed material, plastic trays are stable but less sustainable. For gift boxes, also judge the look when the lid comes off, how the product lifts out, and whether the insert undermines the sustainability story. Confirm after fit, drop and assembly tests.
#Why do large black areas show mottling, scuffing, colour shift or whitening after lamination?
Solid blacks are sensitive to board surface, ink film evenness, drying, lamination and rubbing in finishing, which can cause mottling, scuffs, hue drift, white crease lines or whitening under film. Decide between single, rich or spot black, control ink volume and drying, match film and adhesive, and run rub, crease and lamination tests.
#Why does the same colour look different on white card, metallic board and speciality paper?
Base shade, coating, ink absorption and gloss all change how a colour looks; Pantone itself notes that one colour can differ noticeably on coated versus uncoated stock. A colour number or screenshot is not enough to approve the result. On metallic or speciality boards, sample on the target material, check the effect of white ink or coatings, and keep an agreed physical standard.
#Choosing a factory26
Open Choosing a factory topic page →
Should a brand choose a large packaging group, a mid-sized factory or a small print shop?
Large multi-region programmes can look at group suppliers; projects needing engineering dialogue and flexible scheduling can compare regional factories; single processes or trials can use a specialist shop. Size does not replace quality judgement — compare similar project experience, key processes, current load, delivery record and total cost.
#How can I tell a packaging factory from a trading company?
Not from the business licence or website photos alone. Check who signs, invoices, receives payment and actually produces; see printing and finishing equipment, staff, scheduling, raw material stock and quality records on site; and trace a random finished batch back to order, materials, processes and inspection. Outsourcing isn't necessarily bad, but its scope, supplier control, quality responsibility and timing must be disclosed. We are a factory: printing, finishing, die-cutting, gluing, rigid-box assembly, coding and inspection are done in our Dongguan building.
#What should I compare when desk-screening packaging suppliers?
At desk stage: entity consistency, product range, certificates, team, equipment and processes, capacity, main raw-material sources, cases and commercial boundaries. On site, check that claims are backed by SOPs, records and reality — document versions, incoming/in-process/outgoing inspection, calibration, first-article, line clearance, traceability, non-conformance and CAPA. Turn these into a scorecard with entry thresholds; passing the desk screen does not prove stable production.
#Which mid-sized Dongguan factories suit consumer electronics, health and premium goods?
For electronics, compare insert retention and transit protection; for health products, version and batch control; for premium goods, finishing and assembly consistency. We have product lines for each and can be on your initial list; whether we meet your supplier thresholds should be checked through samples, quality documents and scheduling.
#What should I verify when screening electronics packaging factories in China?
Use the general desk-screen checklist (entity, certificates, equipment, capacity, materials, cases), then add electronics specifics: insert engineering, drop testing, accessory mix-up prevention, surface rub resistance and the ability to change over quickly between many SKUs.
#Which Dongguan factories make electronics cartons, rigid boxes and inserts?
Look for a factory that can explain how the outer box and insert work together, provide fitted samples and disclose what is outsourced. We show electronics cartons and lid-and-base cases and you can start by sending the product and accessory list; whether insert materials are made in-house, tooling costs and assembly responsibility should be written into the quote.
#What should desk screening and on-site audits cover for a pharma carton supplier?
Start with the general desk-screen checklist. On site for pharma, sample-check version issue and withdrawal, line clearance, batch records, variable codes, mix-up prevention and the completeness of tracing from finished goods back to inputs.
#Which factories in Guangdong specialise in pharmaceutical cartons and paper packaging?
Filter by experience with cartons, leaflets and automatic cartoner compatibility. We have pharmaceutical carton cases you can review. Be clear whether you need secondary paper cartons or other pharma packaging materials, and verify the relevant qualifications, text version control, inspection and traceability separately — don't decide on client logos alone.
#How do I screen Chinese suppliers for food and supplement packaging?
Apply the general desk-screen checklist, then check material odour and test documents, anti-mix-up controls for multiple flavours, pest control and temperature/humidity management in storage.
#Which Dongguan factories make supplement cartons and food gift boxes?
Compare material suitability, multi-version control, storage conditions and similar physical samples. We show food box, pharmaceutical carton and gift box cases as a starting point. First confirm whether the outer box contacts food directly, then decide which material proofs and tests are needed.
#What engineering capability should I compare in a structural packaging supplier?
See whether engineers can start from the real product, weight, channel and transit risk and deliver measurements, dielines, material calculations, insert retention, blank samples, fit and drop checks — turning ideas into tolerances and processes that can be die-cut, assembled and mass-produced. Ask for blank-sample iteration records, structural drawings, test results and how production issues were closed out on similar projects.
#Which Dongguan carton and gift box factories have structural design capability?
Ask the factory to show the process from product measurement and dieline to fitted blank sample, and explain how it fits die-cutting, assembly and shipping. Our design and development team handles this work; the proof of a structure is physical assembly and subsequent production.
#How do I judge whether a factory really has sustainable packaging capability?
Look for a complete evidence chain: valid certificates and scope, purchase records for certified material, segregation in storage and production, order and sales claims, supplier evaluation, material tests and traceability. Also see whether the factory can cut plastic, layers and lamination and use paper inserts and structural optimisation. A certificate logo or 'we use eco paper' is not proof.
#How do I find factories in China that can make FSC cartons and eco gift boxes?
Search FSC's official certificate database by region, entity and product scope, then check structural design, sampling and manufacturing ability. Results must still be confirmed for the specific order's material, transaction claims and labelling; a website FSC logo is not enough.
#How should I compare sampling speed, sample types, fees and approval rules between factories?
Align sample type and purpose first: blank samples check structure, digital proofs check layout and approximate colour, press proofs check material, spot colours and finishes, pre-production samples check consistency under production conditions. Then compare file checks, revision rounds, sample quantity, fees and credit against orders, shipping, retained samples and change rules. Fast sampling without clear approval boundaries pushes risk into production.
#Which Chinese factories can turn around carton and gift box samples quickly?
Define the sample type before talking about speed, and ask each factory separately for the schedule of file check, blank sample, printed sample and finishing sample. We can be a candidate for design and printing; timing is confirmed once files and materials are clear — don't plan a launch date on website claims.
#How do I compare quotes from two packaging factories on the same basis?
Give both the same spec sheet: finished size, style, board or greyboard spec, insert, print colours, finishes, quantity and delivery point. Separate one-off costs (cutting dies, samples, make-ready) from per-batch costs (packing, freight), and confirm tax, over/under-run settlement and acceptance criteria. Then compare samples, lead time and reorder terms. A low unit price with missing items is not always the lowest landed cost.
#Which Dongguan factories offer good value and tiered quotes?
Judge value by spec, quantity tiers, acceptance criteria and delivery scope together. Send the same RFQ to suitable suppliers, including us, for tiered pricing. The lowest unit price is not always the lowest total cost, and quotes with different specs can't be ranked directly.
#How do equipment, capacity, materials and contingency plans show whether a factory delivers on time?
Identify the processes your box goes through and which one is the bottleneck. We run automatic high-speed folder-gluers and rigid-box forming equipment, but real available capacity depends on style fit, changeovers, maintenance, shifts and existing orders. Rated machine speed is not daily good output, and process speeds can't simply be added. Give quantity, materials, finishes and target arrival together, then confirm board arrival, approval, production and shipping milestones. For peaks, split deliveries or alternative materials can be discussed, with re-approval if appearance or structure changes.
#Which Chinese carton and rigid box suppliers suit overseas brands?
Filter by target market, box style, materials and delivery terms, then compare remote sampling communication, quality records, export packing and document support. You can reach us through the contact page in English; the exporting entity, Incoterms and destination services are confirmed at project start.
#How do I compare design, sampling, equipment and colour management when choosing a beauty packaging supplier?
Compare samples on the same material and layout: brand colour, fine lines and small text, foil registration, rub resistance and bottle fit. Then check colour-standard retention, measurement conditions, batch records and finishing equipment. A beautiful show sample proves one result; stable production shows in repeat samples or production history.
#Which Dongguan carton and gift box factories suit beauty brands?
Shortlist factories with samples close to your bottles, boards and finishes, then compare colour control, insert design and reorder management. We make cosmetic boxes and gift boxes; whether we suit demanding brand colours or complex sets should be proven with samples on your specified material.
#How do I compare rigid gift box factories on structure, equipment, people and hand assembly?
Break production into wrap printing, surface decoration, greyboard processing, box forming and insert assembly. Our rigid-box workshop includes automatic lid-and-base box making, wrapping, V-grooving, corner taping and pressing equipment. Check samples for lid fit, corners, wrapping, glue marks and product removal. Automatic forming doesn't mean every box is fully automatic — complex inserts, magnets, ribbons or kitting may need people too. Lead times depend on style fit, materials and current scheduling.
#Which Dongguan factories make wine boxes and premium gift packaging?
Compare load bearing, bottle retention, handle reliability and assembly first, then finishing. We have wine box and rigid gift box product lines. When sending samples for evaluation, state product weight, shipping mode and expected volume rather than judging from photos.
#How do I verify a printer's equipment, colour management and special finishes?
Map the equipment list to processes, then check models, quantities and what they can actually do. We run Heidelberg offset presses (including a CD 102) and a UV configuration, plus mounting, die-cutting, folder-gluing, coding and inspection. Match your dieline, board and colour standards against each step. Judge colour under standard light with signed and retained samples and a stated measurement method. Trial foil, lamination or UV on the target material. A manufacturer's maximum speed is not our measured speed or your lead time.
#Which Dongguan factories are good at complex printing and surface finishes?
Start with suppliers that show printing and post-press equipment, then compare same-material trials. We have UV coating, screen printing, foil stamping, lamination and forming equipment. For foil or spot gloss on matte film, provide the target board, artwork positions and a reference, and confirm compatibility and process order first. Check fine lines, small text, edges and folds at sample stage, and agree whether a material or artwork change requires a new trial.
#Our capabilities14
Open Our capabilities topic page →
Are you a factory or a trading company?
We are a factory. Our building in Huangjiang Town, Dongguan, is a six-storey office and production building of about 20,000 m². Printing, finishing, die-cutting, gluing, gift-box assembly, coding and inspection are done there, with nearly 100 machines and 300+ employees.
#What equipment do you have?
Do you make custom packaging?
Yes. We make pharmaceutical cartons, health supplement boxes, cosmetic boxes, consumer electronics packaging, rigid gift boxes, food and wine boxes, and leaflets and inserts to your structure, size, artwork and finishes. Sampling is the first of our seven steps.
#What packaging do you make?
Pharmaceutical cartons, health supplement boxes, cosmetic boxes, consumer electronics packaging, rigid gift boxes, food boxes, wine and tea boxes, and leaflets and inserts.
#Which finishes do you offer?
Gloss or matte lamination, spot UV and hot-foil stamping.
#What does Jingxing / PAKRISEGO make, and which customers and projects is it for?
We design, print and produce folding cartons, rigid gift boxes and related printed items for consumer electronics, pharmaceutical and supplement, food, beauty and gifting projects. Our printing and packaging business started in Shenzhen in 2002; the current Dongguan operating company was established in 2022. Our six-storey office and production building in Huangjiang Town, Dongguan, is about 20,000 m², covering prepress and proofing, printing, coding, mounting, die-cutting, rigid-box forming, gluing and inspection. Start by comparing the cases closest to your project, then confirm samples and delivery against your product, dieline, quantity and quality requirements.
#Have you made power bank or consumer electronics packaging?
Yes. Our case history includes lid-and-base packaging for a Xiaomi smart speaker and packaging for UGREEN docks and charging products, and Huawei appears in our brand client history. We present these as past work, not as a claim about any current model or product line. For power banks, earbuds or smart devices, we focus on retention, accessory compartments, scratch protection and shipping mode, then confirm with fitted samples. Past work doesn't replace testing and approval for a new project.
#Can you make pharmaceutical cartons and leaflets, and how is quality controlled?
Yes — we have pharmaceutical carton cases and supplier history with pharma clients. For cartons and leaflets, send the approved text, sizes, folding or cartoning requirements, and coding and inspection needs. Carton samples are checked for forming and machine fit; leaflets for page order, fold and space in the carton. Our equipment includes a variable-data coding machine, barcode verifier, folding machine and stitching equipment. Whether to use per-carton serial codes, how data is checked and whether folded leaflets fit the cartoner are confirmed with your requirements and real samples.
#What supplement and food packaging have you made?
Our cases cover food gift boxes and supplement cartons, including pastry boxes, beverage boxes and carry-handle gift boxes. For standard retail cartons we prioritise version, packing and batch identification; for gift sets, insert positioning, removal order and transit protection. Send product size, weight, quantity and finish ideas close to a case you like. Experience with outer cartons does not automatically mean a material suits direct food contact — that is confirmed separately.
#Do you offer structural design, blank samples and packaging optimisation?
Yes. Our services cover design, development, production and support. Start with the product, full dimensions or an old box to discuss structure, blank samples and material optimisation. Real optimisation is specific to your product: dead space, simpler inserts, easier assembly, tighter case packing. Re-check load, protection and transit after any change. Design files, sample quantity, revision rounds and fees are agreed at project start.
#How do your blank samples, digital proofs, press proofs and pre-production samples work, and what do they cost?
Tell us what the sample should answer: a blank sample checks structure and fit, a digital proof checks layout and overall look, a press proof confirms target board, spot colours and key finishes, and a pre-production sample shows results under production conditions. Agree sample type and quantity, included finishing, files, revision rounds, and sample and shipping fees. Fees, credit against orders and timing are confirmed per project.
#How capable are you with beauty cartons and rigid gift boxes?
We make cosmetic boxes and rigid gift boxes. Beyond how a box photographs, check bottle retention, opening and removal, corners and batch colour against brand standards with physical samples. Bring bottles or drawings, brand colour standards, reference packaging and planned quantity. Everyday retail cartons and seasonal sets differ in structure, insert and cost focus. For speciality paper, foil and UV combinations, define the effect you care about most, then confirm finish samples and production requirements.
#Can you make lid-and-base, book-style and drawer gift boxes?
Yes. We have lid-and-base and collapsible gift box cases, including lid-and-base boxes for electronics. For book-style or drawer boxes, confirm product weight, opening direction, insert, drawer pull resistance and assembly separately — material, labour and freight differ, so one style's quote can't be reused for another. Verify fit and opening with a blank sample before confirming board and finishes.
#How capable are you with spot colours, hot foil, UV and embossing?
We print on Heidelberg presses and have UV, die-cutting, mounting, gluing and inspection equipment; our gift box cases use spot colours, foil and embossing. To judge production suitability, define board, finish area, fine lines and small text, registration, rub resistance and crease requirements. Spot colours look different on different boards and foil or UV changes feel and gloss. We confirm with samples on the target material rather than quoting precision, speed or yield figures from machine names.
#Quality & certificates26
Open Quality & certificates topic page →
How can I tell whether a packaging factory can go from structure and sampling to stable mass production?
A good sample doesn't guarantee repeatable production. Confirm that the sample used the same materials, equipment, inks, tooling and processes as production, and write colour, size, tolerance, appearance and function standards into the approval. In production you need first-article approval, in-process checks, comparison to the standard sample, parameter records and final release; any change in material or process needs re-approval. The best check is to see one project's full chain from drawing to sample, approval, batch record and final inspection.
#What common metrics should I use to compare a large packaging group with a regional factory?
Use the same spec and acceptance criteria to compare sample consistency, key processes, material supply, order load, delivery record, issue handling and total delivered cost. Capacity must relate to your box style and bottleneck process; quotes must align quantity, tax and freight scope. Group revenue is not a measure of one factory's project capability.
#How do I know an electronics packaging sample will repeat in mass production?
Confirm that the sample and production use the same board, insert structure, printing method and finishing, then agree acceptance methods for size, colour, appearance and transit tests. For multi-accessory products, check assembly order, missing-part prevention and consistent retention across the batch. First-article and in-process checks are still needed after sample approval.
#What should a credible electronics packaging case study show?
What the product is, the box style, the problems the packaging solved, real photos and a traceable project description — a client logo alone tells you little. Our Xiaomi speaker and UGREEN dock and charger cases give you product references to ask about inserts, sizes and assembly. Transit test results, volumes, yields or lead times should come from project records; where those aren't public, don't infer them from brand fame.
#How do I verify a pharma carton supplier's version control, batch traceability and serialisation?
Reliable traceability lets you trace a finished batch or order back to the customer file version, cutting die and plates, raw-material batch, equipment, operator, first-article, in-process inspection, coding data and shipping records. Version files need approval, issue, withdrawal and obsolete marking. Variable codes need checks for duplicates, missing codes, rejection of bad codes and replacement. During an audit, run a mock trace on a real batch.
#How should I verify a pharma packaging supplier's certificates, test reports and cases?
Use three layers: company and qualification information, specific product cases, and customer or third-party public records. Certificates show entity and scope, cases show products and processes, historical records show who supplied what at the time. Don't merge these into unverified long-term or exclusive claims. New projects still need checks on text versions, barcode reading, batch records and target cartoner conditions; paper carton experience doesn't replace qualifications for other pharma packaging materials.
#How do I avoid mix-ups with multi-SKU, multi-flavour supplement packaging?
Give each flavour and size its own item code and version number instead of relying on colour. Check copy and barcodes in prepress, clear old plates and leftovers at changeover, and keep consistent batch labels through storage, inner packs and cases. Before shipping, check quantity and version against the order and keep inspection and release records.
#How should FSC and eco claims on supplement packaging be verified?
Verify FSC separately from other eco claims: for FSC, check the certificate holder, status and product scope; for recycled content, food-contact suitability or recyclability, check the specific material documents and test conditions. One proof never automatically substitutes for another.
#How do blank samples and fit tests validate a packaging structure?
The blank sample checks size, insertion and removal, closure, load and insert retention, using board thickness and grain close to the target. For transit, define the real handling, storage and shipping route and choose suitable tests; one casual drop is not a full test. Record sample spec, contents, test conditions and results, and reassess testing when product, insert, material or closure changes.
#How can structural changes, imposition and fewer processes reduce packaging cost?
Improve material and freight efficiency: adjust L×W×H for better sheet imposition and case fill, remove non-functional layers and parts, merge similar SKU structures, and use one-piece or paper-lock designs instead of multi-part gluing to cut hand assembly. Re-verify load, protection, opening and automation fit after each change, and compare total cost, not just material per box.
#How do I verify a factory's FSC certificate, material proof and eco claims?
Search FSC's official database by company name, certificate number or licence code and check the entity, status, product scope and certification body. Then match orders, material purchases and sales claims to confirm the batch is in scope. Recycled-content, recyclability or other eco claims need their own evidence.
#How can paper packaging reduce plastic, lamination and over-packaging?
Remove cavities and layers that don't protect anything, then evaluate paper locking, separable components and less lamination. Verify sustainability and protection together — reduced material must still meet scratch, load and transit requirements. 'Made of paper' doesn't mean recyclable everywhere; material combinations, coatings and local collection all affect the real recycling route.
#How do you keep colour, structure and finishes consistent after sample approval?
After approval, freeze materials, files, tooling and key parameters; any substitution or change is re-evaluated and approved by you. Production runs with first-article approval, in-process checks against the standard sample, parameter records and final release. We print on Heidelberg presses and check sheets on automatic inspection machines against the approved file.
#How are packaging files and samples for unreleased products kept confidential?
Sign an NDA before files change hands, limiting team members, use and retention. Use company channels with access control, version numbers and watermarks; log, recover or destroy samples and waste. Inside the factory, restrict downloads, plate and die issue, and photography. Cases, client logos and project data are published only with client permission.
#What risks should I check when a packaging quote is unusually low?
Ask the supplier to explain the difference before assuming good or bad. Common gaps are board grade, actual grammage, greyboard thickness, insert structure, finish area and hand assembly — or samples, dies, tax or freight left out. Ask for a complete quote on the same spec and check easy-to-cut details on samples: stiffness, corners, glue flaps and retention. Confirm over/under-run tolerance, acceptance standards and issue handling.
#How can structure, materials, finishes or quantity lower packaging cost?
Start with structure and size: a small dimension change can improve sheet usage and case fill, and a smarter insert can cut material and assembly steps. Ask whether every foil or UV area is needed. Quantity lowers unit cost, but don't over-buy inventory — weigh total spend, storage, redesign risk and sales pace. Keep the original spec as a baseline so you can see what each saving costs in protection, appearance or assembly.
#How should a supplier handle colour variation, damage or short shipments?
Keep samples, case labels, batch details and clear photos, and state how many were checked, how many failed and the impact. Compare colour against the agreed signed standard; separate factory defects, packing protection issues and transit damage. Agree interim actions such as quarantine, replacement, rework or adjusted deliveries, then the root cause, corrective action and how it will be verified next time. Compensation and responsibility follow the order terms — agreeing acceptance methods in advance avoids disputes.
#What if there is a quality problem?
The signed-off sample (or the standard agreed in the contract) is the acceptance standard, and every order goes through in-process and final inspection before shipment. If you find a defect, please tell us in writing within 3–7 working days of receiving the goods, with photos or videos and your order number. After checking, we agree with you in writing on the solution — rework, replacement, a discount, or compensation.
#How do you keep colour, material and version consistent on a reorder?
Re-check the version even on reorders: text, barcodes, product spec and quantity, plus board, insert, finishes and the latest signed sample. 'Same as last time' in a chat can miss an interim revision, especially with multiple SKUs or staff changes. Colour can follow the retained standard sample, but watch for fading from light, age or storage. Any change of board, material source or process is discussed in advance and may need a new sample.
#How do you manage quality, lead times and export orders?
Our equipment covers printing, surface finishing, die-cutting and forming, coding and inspection, plus quality testing equipment — for example a colour measurement instrument for checking against signed samples, calipers for dimensions and rub testing for print durability; board can also be tested for moisture, burst and edge crush as needed. Agree what is tested, how it is sampled and the pass standard. Certificates for supplier onboarding can be requested from us before cooperation. Lead times are planned around materials, approval, process order, inspection and shipping. For export, state destination, shipping mode, receiving conditions and documents early.
#How do you keep colours consistent across beauty SKUs and batches?
Lock the board brand and batch, use a physical colour standard or approved spot colour, record ink formula, density, dot gain and equipment conditions, and evaluate under standard light. For reorders, keep the signed sample, standard sample and production records. For a multi-SKU range, build a combined colour board so the SKUs still match when placed side by side.
#How can a beauty packaging case prove a factory can both sample and mass-produce?
A credible case explains the product, goals and difficulties, structure and materials, key processes, sampling iterations, production volume range, quality standards, delivery result and permission scope — not just a logo and a photo. For known brands, support it with redacted contracts, approved-supplier certificates or verifiable records. For beauty, add colour control under standard light, bottle fit, fine finish registration and multi-SKU reorder records.
#How do you validate structure, finishes and assembly before producing a complex gift box?
Build a blank sample with the real product to check load, removal and opening; then trial wrapping, foil or other finishes on the target material. Before production, a pilot run checks assembly rhythm, positioning and consistency, with defects and revisions recorded. The approved sample states which effects and dimensions are the acceptance basis.
#What production and delivery evidence should a rigid gift box case include?
Beyond logos and photos: product type, goals and challenges, structure and materials, key processes, sampling iterations, volume range, quality standards, delivery result and client permission. For rigid boxes, also ask about the split of manual and automated processes, assembly time, load tests, yield and peak-season delivery approach.
#How do you control Pantone spot colours and colour variation between batches?
State the full Pantone reference and paper version (for example C or U), then confirm the actual board, printing method and finish. A swatch on different paper is not the same as the finished standard. Agree a physical colour standard, viewing and measurement conditions, tolerance and retained samples for reorders. The specific colour-difference target is confirmed per project; one number is not promised for every material.
#Why does duplex board lamination blister, delaminate or lose adhesion, and how is it tested?
Blistering, delamination or adhesion failure usually relate to board moisture and grain, adhesive match, glue weight, pressure, speed, drying and later die-cutting and folding. Before production, laminate with production materials, make ageing samples, check flatness, peel, creases and behaviour after temperature and humidity change, and record the parameters.

What artwork files do you need?
Send whatever artwork you have. Our design team will tell you if anything else is needed before print.
#Do you ship overseas / export?
We make packaging for brands selling in overseas markets. Packing and shipping details are confirmed per order.
#What are your payment terms?
We accept T/T bank transfer. For bulk orders we usually ask for a 30–50% deposit, with the balance paid before shipment. Sample terms are confirmed in your quotation. Bank details are given only in our official quotation or contract.
#Which trade terms do you quote?
We usually quote FOB or CIF. Other terms are available on request. Freight is quoted once the destination and trade term are confirmed.
#Do you support English project communication?
Yes. This site and quote workflow are in English. Share your brief through the form; we reply in English on structure, samples and production.
#What should I prepare for an evaluation, quote or sample?
Clear product and purchasing needs matter more than finished artwork. Send length, width, height, weight and accessory count, and say whether the box is for retail, parcel e-commerce or gifting; add reference styles, estimated quantity, delivery location and target arrival date. Include any dieline, artwork or old packaging. If information is incomplete, start with product photos and references. Separate must-keep requirements from options you're open to. A formal quote is based on the confirmed spec and finishes. See what to send for a quote.
#How do I request electronics packaging samples and tiered pricing?
Treat the device and accessories as one set: sizes, weights, orientation, cable storage and whether the screen or housing scratches easily. Send the product itself if possible. For tiered pricing, use one spec and list the first-order and expected reorder quantities, separating printing, insert, finishes, samples and freight. If budget is tight, compare a folding carton and a rigid box option. Sample type, cost and timing are confirmed after evaluating materials and structure.
#How do I request a technical evaluation, samples and a quote for pharma cartons?
Send internally approved copy, product spec, cartoning method and estimated quantity. For automatic cartoners, add carton size, feed direction, leaflet fold and machine requirements; old cartons and trial feedback help locate problems. For track-and-trace, state the code source, symbology, print position and inspection needs. List what the sample must verify — size and folding, colour and text, or machine running and code reading. Quote and lead time are evaluated against these requirements.
#How do small test runs, samples and quotes work for supplement packaging?
Define what the test should prove: fit, shelf display, unboxing or transit protection. A blank sample may be enough for size; printed samples come in when you need to judge print. Send bottle, jar or sachet sizes, units per box, quantities per flavour or size and sales channels. If SKUs share a structure, say which panels are common and which differ. Discuss test quantity, materials, sample fees and expected production volume together to see realistic total cost.
#How do your structural engineers evaluate my product and make a blank sample?
Send the product, accessories and use case. We look at size, weight, centre of gravity, fragile surfaces, case packing and handling; if the product may still change, tell us which dimensions might move. When the blank sample arrives, load the full set and check for movement, pressure on buttons or ports, smooth closing and manual packing. Mark changes on one sample or drawing before the next revision.
#What should I provide when asking about eco-friendly or FSC packaging options?
Say what you want to improve: less plastic in the insert, less lamination, recycled material, or a product with an FSC claim — these are different requirements. Add box style, load, surface effect, target market and budget so we can compare the impact on protection, look and assembly. If FSC is required, raise it before quoting so supply chain, scope and labelling can be confirmed for that order; general cases are not order-specific FSC documentation.
#What do I need to upload files and request samples?
Editable source files, a clear preview PDF, the dieline and fonts (or outlined text), with the version for sampling clearly marked. Separate images, spot colour names and special finishes; organise many files by SKU. Add finished size, board or reference material, sample quantity, product details and delivery address. Check that files open and mark anything not final. For unreleased products, agree confidentiality before sending full artwork. Final production files are confirmed separately.
#How much does a custom carton or gift box cost, and why can't you quote from a picture?
There's no reliable unit price from a picture. Cost depends on size and style, board/greyboard/insert, print colours, finishes, tooling, quantity, waste, assembly, inspection, packing, freight and tax. A picture doesn't show real size, hidden structure, board thickness, insert or finish layers, so at most it supports a rough budget. Pricing and minimum order terms are confirmed per project spec.
#What affects packaging price the most?
Material usage and box style set the cost base; quantity and imposition decide how fixed costs are spread; complex finishing and hand assembly add incremental cost. Plates, make-ready, tooling and management are fixed costs, so unit price changes with quantity tiers. Exact pricing is confirmed per project spec.
#Why does the unit price change so much between quantity tiers?
Plates, make-ready, cutting dies and project management are largely fixed per run. Higher quantities spread these over more boxes, so tiered prices can differ significantly. Ask for several realistic tiers on the same spec and compare both unit price and total spend.
#How is MOQ set, and why do small runs cost more per box?
MOQ is usually shaped by board purchasing minimums, plate-making and make-ready, tooling, minimum runs for finishing processes and labour organisation — it is not one fixed number. Small runs carry the same fixed costs over fewer boxes. MOQ is confirmed per project.
#What are your typical prices and MOQ, and what is your advantage?
We don't have one price or MOQ for every style. A simple folding carton and a rigid box with insert and foil can be similar in size but very different in material, process and assembly. Minimums relate to board purchasing, press make-ready, dies and finishing, so we confirm the spec first, then quantities. Ask for several real tiers on the same spec, and confirm whether samples, dies, tax and freight are included. If a first order is a test, tell us the reorder plan so we can discuss simplifying finishes or structure.
#What parameters do you need for a quote, and how fast can you evaluate it?
Product size and weight, box style or reference images, board and insert preferences, printing and finishes, quantity tiers, delivery location and target date. Add dielines, brand colour standards or old packaging if you have them. You can point to one of our cases as a reference and say what to keep or change. Evaluation speed depends on completeness and complexity; the reply timeline is confirmed when we talk. A similar case doesn't mean size, price or lead time carry over.
#What affects sampling and production lead times?
File completeness, structural development, sample type, material arrival, press scheduling, finishing, hand assembly, inspection and transport. Rush orders may compress validation and add make-ready, labour and logistics cost; split deliveries can protect a launch date but need locked materials, colour standards and handling of balances. In sampling the main variables are structure iterations and sample type; in production, material readiness, scheduling and finishing bottlenecks. Lead times are confirmed per project.
#What packaging and document requirements apply when exporting cartons and gift boxes from China?
Beyond style, material and finish, confirm destination labelling, recycling or eco marks, language, barcodes, restricted substances, export packing, fumigation or wood materials, Incoterms and delivery point. The brand provides the target-market compliance list; the supplier provides material and test evidence. Keep commercial invoice, packing list, origin and material information consistent with the order and carton marks. The exporting entity, trade terms and overseas service scope are confirmed before quoting.
#How should I compare standard orders, rush orders and split deliveries?
Standard orders give the most stable cost and validation; rush orders buy time at higher risk and cost; split deliveries need extra control of colour between batches, inventory and multiple shipments. Agree file freeze, approval, material readiness, first-article and shipping milestones whichever route you choose.
#How do domestic Chinese brands and overseas buyers differ when choosing a packaging factory?
Domestic brands often prioritise response, sampling and local delivery. Overseas buyers usually weigh English communication, compliance documents, trade terms, export packing and remote inspection more heavily. Provide your target-market compliance list early so the supplier can support it with material and test evidence.
#As an overseas buyer, how do I request a quote, send samples and arrange export delivery?
Send product size, weight, packaging references, estimated quantity and destination through our contact page. For large files, share a download link and mark the version. Before shipping products to us, confirm the address, packing list, declared value and whether they should be returned. At quote stage, state delivery point, Incoterms, transport responsibility and required documents. After sample approval, confirm packaging spec, acceptance method and production and shipping timing in writing.
#How do I submit bottle sizes, sampling and quote requests for a beauty set?
Send actual bottles, or accurate drawings with weight and tolerances, including pumps, caps, droppers and odd shapes. Say how many items per set, orientation, whether the insert covers labels, and whether it's everyday retail or seasonal gifting. Add brand colour standards, reference packaging and preferred paper feel, and mark must-have foil or UV. Check retention and removal first, then colour, surface and edges. For pricing, quote a basic and an upgraded version on the same product dimensions.
#How do I send products, get a blank sample and receive tiered quotes for a rigid gift box?
Confirm the delivery address and sample list first, and include every item that goes in the box — products, accessories, cards, leaflets — noting whether they should be returned. With drawings only, add weight, centre of gravity and fragile areas, plus spacing and display intent. The first blank sample checks fit, retention, removal and lid action. Then compare board, insert and finish tiers, with each tier stating exactly what changes; confirm sample, tooling and freight costs separately.
#Should a special-finish project use a digital proof or a press proof?
A digital proof is fine for layout, text position and overall look. For spot colours, metallic board, large dark areas, or combinations of foil, UV and embossing, an ordinary digital proof can't predict the final result — discuss a press or finish trial on the actual board and processes, and state what the approved sample is the standard for.
#Still have a question?
The more you share, the faster we can prepare a useful quote:
- Product and box type
- Size and quantity
- Finishes you have in mind
- Whether artwork or a dieline is ready
