Spot UV is a clear, glossy coating applied to selected areas, often on top of matte lamination, so logos and patterns catch the light. Hot-foil stamping transfers a metallic or coloured foil with heat and pressure for a reflective finish.
Spot UV is subtle; foil is bold. Many brands use both on one box: foil for the logo, spot UV for a pattern or the product name.
