What a box like this has to do
Ginseng and tea gift boxes are often bought as presents, so the opening moment matters. Inside, each item needs a fixed place so nothing moves in transit. A drinks display box has to stand in a store, show the bottles and the brand, and still be easy to carry. These are general needs of the category, not requirements the brand gave us.
How the box is built
The green tea box opens like a pair of doors: two side panels swing outward to reveal a printed inner panel, with a small gold-tone pull tab at the front. The red tea box has a lid hinged at the back. Its base holds a gold-tone panel over a black foam insert with octagonal cavities and a larger rectangular cavity with a round recess. The drink box is a long display tray with a cut-away front, so a row of bottles shows above the front panel, and a carry handle on top.
Print and finishing
The double-door box is printed in deep green with fine line patterns, a white and green eagle illustration and a round gold-tone label carrying the product name. Inside, a red and gold-tone festive scene shows a horse, clouds, lanterns and fireworks. The red box repeats a gold-tone horse and clouds inside the lid, and the drink box carries printed photos of the bottles on deep green with gold-tone type. Our line in Dongguan includes Heidelberg offset presses, gloss or matte film lamination, spot UV, hot-foil stamping, automatic die-cutting, high-speed folder-gluing, mounting, lid-and-base box forming, variable-data coding and automatic inspection. We do not state here which machine ran this particular job.
How we work on similar boxes
For boxes like these we follow the same seven factory steps: design and sampling, plate-making and printing, surface finishing, die-cutting and gluing, gift-box assembly, coding and inspection, and delivery. This describes how our factory works in general. It is not a record of this project.
